Duane William Bossung, 64 of Muncie, died Wednesday morning, August 16, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born January 4, 1953 in Louisville, KY and was the son of the late William P. Jr. & Flora Carolina (Bronger) Bossung.
Duane moved to the Muncie area with his family in 1965 . He was a 1972 graduate of Muncie Central High School. He was employed for several years in the construction industry, where he specialized in flooring. Duane loved the Beatles and listing to their music. He loved and cared a lot about animals.
Duane is survived by two brothers, Keith Bossung (Cindy) of Kingston, MA and Lynn Bossung (Kristi) of Mooreland; three nieces Angie Mays of Richmond, Erin Bossung of Indianapolis and Kyla Bossung of Kingston, MA; a great-niece Carly Mays of Richmond; several aunts and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Brian and Neil Bossung.
Funeral Services for Duane will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Duane will be buried with the cremated remains of his brothers Brian and Neil Bossung in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
