Duane Edward Smoker, 48, died at his home in Muncie. He was born in Muncie to Kenneth Edward and Velma (Shipe) Smoker. He graduated from Wes Del High School with the Class of 1981.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Wilma Smoker of Gaston, IN.; two daughters, Karinne and Keegan Smoker, of Anderson; a stepdaughter, Bailey Haynes, of Anderson; sister, Brenda Cannon Smoker, of San Diego CA; step brothers, Curt, and Dewayne Davis of Lebanon, IN and Troy Davis of FL; step sister of Cindy Stephenson of Lebanon, IN; companion, Sabrina Howard, of Muncie; nieces, Kayla Cannon of Muncie; nephew, Kendrick Cannon of San Diego. He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Smoker.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at True Light Baptist Church, 805 N. Country Club Road, Muncie, IN with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial at Gardens of Memory Cemetery will be at a later date. Garden View Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
