Dustin Richards Rhodes, 29 of Muncie, died Saturday morning, July 22, 2017. He was born August 19, 1987 in Muncie and is the son of Charles Anthony and Daphne Lynn (Grimes) Rhodes.
Dustin was a loving son, grandson, brother and father. He loved spending time with children and being outdoors. Dustin had worked for several area contractors in the construction business. He loved music, fishing, and working and playing at the Water Bowl. Dustin loved playing with his three dogs Zena, Thor, and Luna.
Dustin is survived by his loving parents Charles Anthony and Daphne Lynn (Grimes) Rhodes; his three children Chase, Hayden and Haylee Rhodes and their mother Justina Johnson all of Muncie; his fianc Taylre Cross and her children Cadynce and Carter Cross of Muncie; his brother Sam Rhodes (Rindi) and nephew Phoenix Rhodes all of Noblesville; his grandmother Loretta Hiatt of Yorktown, grandfather Richard Grimes (Deni) of Florida; a half-sister Karli Young of Muncie; two uncles Rick Grimes (Dawn Dalton) of Chesterfield and Allan Rhodes (Rita) of Frankton; an aunt Brenda Thomas of Bluffton; several cousins also survive.
Funeral Services for Dustin will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Lucinda L. (Cindy) Osgood officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
