Earl Beeson, Jr age 71, passed peacefully into the arms of His Heavenly Father while at home, January 18, 2014, after losing his 13 month battle with ALS or Lou Gerhrig''s Disease. Earl was surrounded by loving family.
He was born August 11, 1942 to the late Alwilda (Ginger) Dahlstrom Smith in Bluffton, Indiana. He graduated from Desoto High School in 1960, worked at Warner Gear and retired from Maxon Premix as a machine operator in 2001. He proudly served his country for 6 years in the Army National Guard of Indiana in the 293rd Infantry.
Earl loved to watch the Steelers play since he was a little boy, and often got a lot of ribbing about it. He was an avid reader of Louis L'' Amour books, he loved to garden, look for Morel mushrooms with his cousin Steve. He prided himself in knowing a lot of facts concerning music; He collected music from Hard & Classical rock to blues. He was a big fan of Jennie DeVoe and Peter Harper and Midwest Kind. He strongly loved animals, especially the feline variety and was a volunteer for "Action for Animals" until he fell ill. As a Vintner, he so enjoyed making his wine and was awarded several International awards for his creations. Earl loved attending the Jar Community Church, and its people. He touched the lives of so many people. He had a solid gold heart and would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

And a special thanks to our earth angel Amiee Arey who went beyond our needs, we so love you for all that you did. Libby & Joe, do not know what Dad and I would have done without you.
He is preceded in death by a son Jason, his parents David and Ginger Smith, and his precious fur baby Whitey.
He is survived by his devoted wife Glynda of 47 years, Son Joe Beeson, (wife Libby) of Elwood, Sister Pamala (Smith) Greer (husband Ray) Albany, Grandchildren, Taylor Beeson & friends Brandon Clawson, Michael, Caleb & Hannah Karkosky. His loving in-laws Bob & Vaudie (Pat) Saine of Muncie, a special Cousin Steve Dahlstrom (wife Debbie) of Albany, Nieces Tonya (Greer) Repass, of Clayton, North Carolina, Debbie (Greer) Owens, of Draper, Utah, Nephew Aaron Greer, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Funeral Services for Earl will be held Friday, January 24th , 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Bunch officiating. Burial with military honors being conducted by the Delaware County Honor Guard will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 23rd , and one hour prior to the service on Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
