Earline Jones, 81, of Muncie, IN (formerly of Oceanside, CA for 50 years), died Thursday May 29, 2008 at Willowbend Living Center in Muncie. She was born on December 14, 1926 in Owen County, KY the daughter of Earl and Mary (Roland) Henderson. On September 26, 1950 she married George Jones who preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a member of the Eastside Missionary Baptist Church. She was a very generous woman and often helped those in need. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends, over the phone, from California.
Surviving relatives include one brother, Watson Burgess of Madison, IN; one sister, Millie Sebastian of Muncie, IN; two nephews, Ralph Jones of Muncie, IN; Fred Jones of California; two nieces, Alma Blankenship (husband: Nate) of Muncie; Nan Sebastian (beloved husband: Alvia) of Muncie, IN; several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, Rachel Spoonemore; Alice Powell; Ardith Earls; and one brother, Dennis Henderson.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday May 31, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dewayne Loveless will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
