Effie Fairchild, 90 of San Jose, CA and formerly of Muncie, died Friday July 15, 2016. She was born January 10th, 1926 in Wayne County, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Dennis & Elizabeth (Jones) Branscum.
Effie enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching game shows, and was an avid basketball fan.
Effie is survived by her two sons, Dana Fairchild of Pleasanton, CA and Gary Fairchild (Susan) of San Jose, CA; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three sisters Carrie Koger (Hurstle) of Muncie, Zadie Hill of Anderson, and Esma Buck of Yorktown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sterlie Fairchild, son Roger Fairchild, two brothers and three sisters also preceded her death.
Funeral Services for Effie will be held Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor DeWayne Loveless officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 pm
