Effie Lorraine Lipscomb, 84, of Muncie, died early Friday morning, September 28th, 2012 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born June 5th, 1928 in Warren, IN., and was the daughter of the late Arthur & Leona (Lounsberry) Naylor. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whom loved and cherished her family greatly. She loved to cook and care for those she loved. Lorraine is survived by her four children, Michael (Lilly) Naylor of Duncanville, TX., Kathy Bright, Gene Lipscomb both of Muncie, IN., and Gloria Garcia of Clarkshill, IN.; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother William (Alice) Naylor of Valparaiso, IN. ; a close family friend Keith Hitt of Muncie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lipscomb; a grandson Jerry Naylor; a great-granddaughter Kristian Durham; two brothers Clarence and Henry Naylor. Funeral Services for Lorraine will be held, Monday, October 1st, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Woody Sears officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and Friends may call Monday, October 1st, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
