Obituary

Eleanor Jean Davis, 81, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Waters of Yorktown, following an extended illness.
She was born in Muncie, March 31, 1926, the daughter of Harry L. & Clarissa (Quate), Gindhart. Eleanor made porcelain dolls, was an avid crafts maker, an avid seamstress and enjoyed line dancing.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Lowell A. (Bud) Davis, Muncie; one son, Jim Davis, (wife-Kay), Muncie; and one daughter, Karen Glaser, (husband-Tom), Mooreland; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Clarissa Adams, (husband-Bob), Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and four sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February, 12, 2008 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 820 E. Charles St., Muncie, IN with Father Dennis Goth officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Friends may call Monday, February 11, 2008 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
