Eleanor F. Harley, 86, of Muncie, IN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 17, 1921 in Muncie to the late Verlin and Hazel (Brant) West.
Eleanor was a member of the RSL Club. She enjoyed her grandchildren and doing puzzles. She worked at Marhoefer Packing Company, Wise Grocery and she was a study hall monitor at Delta High School. She graduated from Royerton High School.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Jaye Kaye Wilson (husband - Robert) of Muncie; two brothers, Richard West of Gaston and Jerry West (wife - Norma) of Yorktown; two sisters, Mary Raab of Tucson, AZ and Jean Morgan (husband - Jim) of Cammack; three grandchildren, Mike Wilson (wife - Leanne) of DeSoto, IN, Joanna Boulanger (husband - Steve) of Cumberland, IN and David Wilson (wife - Jennifer) of Liberty Township, OH; five great-grandchildren, Megan Wilson, Alex Boulanger, Zach Boulanger, Lauren Wilson and Lucas Wilson; one great-great-grandchild, Melina Lindsey-Wilson; four sister-in-laws, Lila West of Matthews, Betty Russell (husband - Marion) of Muncie, Martha Harley of Muncie and Elizabeth Sherwood of Muncie; one brother-in-law, George Harley (wife - Marilyn) of Muncie and many nieces and nephews. Special people in Eleanor''s life, Jay Gulley, Neet & Phil Riser, and Lora, Karen, Veronica, from the beauty shop. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, James Harley, parents, one brother, James West, one sister, Margaret Marquell, granddaughter-in-law, Lois Wilson and special friend, Lois McGriff.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, March 26, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Reverend Norma West officiating. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 25, 2007 and from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
