Elizabeth (Liz) Caldwell, 90, departed this life into the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Friday morning, September 28, 2018.  Elizabeth was born on April 21, 1928, in Georgetown, KY, to Joseph and Viola Hatcher.  She spent most of her adult life in the Muncie area before relocating to Valdosta, GA, 18 years ago.

Liz earned her GED as an adult and retired from General Motors after working hard all of her life.  She had a well-deserved reputation as a great cook and a self-made poet.  She could write poems for family and friends to celebrate any occasion or person.  Her favorite subject was often her Lord Jesus.  Nothing thrilled her more than to share the miracles she experienced in life with her family, friends, and even strangers.  She was always giving God the glory for all of his blessings!

Liz was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husbands:  Son Williams, James Digman, and John Caldwell; her grandson, Grady Williams; and several step-children.

Remaining to cherish her memory are sons: Rex (Carol) Williams of Muncie, L. Grady "Rock" (Judi) Williams of Yorktown, and Mark (Kristina) Williams of Valdosta, GA; step-sons: Terry (Loretta) Caldwell of Helenwood, TN, Jim (Spring) Caldwell of Crossville, TN, and Denny (Shirley) Digman of Jackson, WI.  She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Liz was proud of her 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and many other children who were also blessed to call her grandma!

In lieu of flowers, Elizabeth requested donations be made to a favorite charity, especially those that care for hungry children, a long-term ministry of hers.
