Deacon Elizie Deloach went home to be with his Lord on May 21, 2009 at Ball Hospital, after an extended illness.
Deacon Deloach was born March 1, 1927 in Summer, MS. He moved to Indianapolis, IN at an early age.
Dec. Deloach was married to Mother Floraine Lee on September 4, 1975. They had no children, but they were foster parents to many children.
He retired from Emge Meats in Anderson, Indiana.
He was a member of Greater Mt. Calvary C.O.G.I.C., where he served as a Deacon before his illness.
Dec. Elizie Deloach leaves to cherish his memory, a wife of thirty-four years, Mother Foraine Deloach; a son, Kevin (wife, Sharon) of Indianapolis; daughter, Elizabeth of Louisiana; five step-daughters, Josephine Patterson (husband, Roger) and Michele Perry both of Indianapolis, IN, Peggy Green (husband, Charles), Sophia Deloach, Linda King, Rachelle Thomas (husband, Frank) all of Muncie, IN; four step-sons, Walter (wife, Darlene) Lee, Charlie Lee and Johnny (wife, Billie) Lee all of Muncie, IN and Randy Tolliver of Anderson, IN; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was a foster parent to many children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Mamie Deloach; brothers, sisters, and a son, Michael.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Greater Mt. Calvary C.O.G.I.C., 1524 East Butler Street, officiating Pastor Supt. Charles Coatie.
Burial will take place in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.
