Ella Luchia Laura (Adams) Jenkins, 102, of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Morrison Woods Health Campus.
Ella was born December 31, 1907 in Indianapolis to the late Art and Cora Adams. She graduated from Advance High School before moving to Muncie in 1939. She married her late husband, Ralph W. Jenkins on February 24, 1940. She worked for Ball Corporation for thirty-two years before her retirement in 1971. She was a member of the Eastern Star Ch. 237 of Albany, White Shrine #14, Muncie Moose Lodge Aux 712, Amevanth, and Christian Scientists.
Ella is survived by a grandson, Ray W. "Rusty" Jenkins Jr. (wife, Sharon); a great-granddaughter, Megan Cristello (husband, Phil); four great-great-grandchildren, Raygan, Sayler, Adler, and Piper all of Florida; her caregiver of over thirty years, Tammy Pursifull and special friend, Ron Fridley both of Muncie. Ella was preceded in death by a son, Ray Jenkins Sr.
A graveside service to celebrate Ella's life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating.
