Ellabelle Gray, 86, of Hartford City, died Sunday morning, May 31st, 2015 at Miller Merry Manor in Hartford City. She was born February 22nd, 1929 in Hartford City, and was the daughter of the late James Oscar & Anna Marie (Kerby) Cale.

Ellabelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, eating out, cooking, gardening, and playing cards. Ellabelle and her husband Herbert served as Boy Scott leaders for 37 years, she also was a member of the Hartford City Lions Club. Ellabelle was a member of the St. John''s Catholic Church in Hartford City.

Ellabelle is survived by her husband of 64 years, Herbert Dallas Gray, whom she married June 23rd, 1950 of Hartford City; two sons, Michael Dean Gray (Jill) of Olivet, MI, and James Patrick Gray (Tresa) of Hartford City; three grandchildren Angie Glancy (Jeff Loose) of Hamilton, OH, Brooke McCrystal (Mark) of Modoc, and Dallas Gray (Leigh) of Eaton; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Cale, Mildred McVicker, Jim Cale, Joe Cale, Lawrence Cale, Shirley Hines, Helen Cale, and Janice Cale.

Funeral Services for Ellabelle will be held Thursday, June 4th, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Blackford County Humane Society, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
