Elnora Lerene Venable, 91, of Muncie, was born August 26, 1934, in Jay County, Indiana. She passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Signature Health Care.

Elnora worked in sales and was a factory worker. She attended Muncie Schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School.

Elnora was kind and giving. She enjoyed working with the children at church. She loved her family, her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and attending church. She was a member of Northside Assembly of God for several years. While in the nursing home she enjoyed playing BINGO, crafts, and working puzzles.

Elnora leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Cheri Peters (Dave); son, William Venable (Susan); and daughter, Linda Wright (Clifford); grandchildren, Gene Youngkin (Minu), Leslie Venable, Emilie Venable, Galen Venable (Sara), Stacy Wright, Patrick Wright (Sarah), and Amber Barker (Clint); granddaughter-in-law, Samantha Wright; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carol Osborn; and several nieces and nephews.

Elnora was preceded in death by parents, Darrell & Nina Jane Osborn; two brothers, Victor Osborn and Jerry Osborn; sister, Leora Privett (Ralph); son, Monty Venable; and grandson, Cliff Wright.

Arrangements entrusted to Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

Burial will take place at a later date at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
