E. Lewis Heaton, 77, passed away Tuesday evening, March 4th, 2014 at the home on the family farm where he had resided all his life. Born June 9th, 1936, he was the only child of Leo and Geraldine Heaton. It was apparent from an early age he would follow the family tradition of farming. He always felt grateful and indebted to friends and neighbors who allowed him to till their land. Using God given talents he studied the soil, plants, and agriculture equipment; therefore, making contributions to the advancement of agriculture. He was thankful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing him to live in America and take part in an occupation he loved.
He is survived by his wife Diana and four children: Beverly Mauck (companion Dennis Cunningham), Brenda (Rick) Thornburg, Debbie (Mike) Norrick and Lewis E. (Rhonda) Heaton; nine grandchildren: Melissa (Brad) Butler, Jason (Kortnee) Mauck, Erica (Paul) Henry, Drew Thornburg, Tiffany Norrick, Tanner Norrick, Wendy Heaton, Natalie Heaton, and Piper Heaton; four great grandchildren; Jacob and Luke Butler, Wyatt Thornburg, and Hudson Henry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son-in-law Bill Mauck.
Funeral Services for Lewis will be held Saturday, March 8th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor''s Eldon Morehouse and Bob Ewert officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 7th, 2014 and one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
