Ermadean Sue Richardson, 92, of Muncie, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday morning, March 24th, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born August 6th, 1921 in Cowan, IN, and was the daughter of the late Byron Dale & Nellie (Driscoll) Turner.
Ermadean retired after 36 years of service from Superior Laundry Service. She enjoyed swinging on her front porch, reading, working in the yard with her flowers, and being outdoors. Ermadean loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Morning Side United Methodist Church.
Ermadean is survived by her six children; Beverly Dixon of Dunkirk, Patty Myers of Muncie, Sandy Creamer (Keith) of Gaston, Dale Richardson (PJ) of Anderson, Becky Phipps of Muncie, and Art Richardson, Jr. of Wakarusa, IN; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; three nieces and one nephew; sister-in-law Lois Turner of Portland, OR; and a close special friend Sarah Goebel of Muncie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Arthur K. Richardson on November 1st, 2001, a granddaughter Patricia Townsend, and a brother John Dale Turner.
Funeral Services for Ermadean will be held Thursday, March 27th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastors Gordon Jackson and Mary Margaret Willbanks officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call Wednesday, March 26th, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Morning Side United Methodist Church or IU Health Ball Memorial Hospice, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
