Ernest R. Boles of Albany, Indiana passed away at the age of 83 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born on January 20, 1938 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late Archie and Tina (Cravens) Boles.
Ernest married Hazel M. Nash on January 9, 1959. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked in maintenance for Werts Novelty for more than 14 years. He was a lover of all animals, but especially cats and dogs. He enjoyed WWE wrestling, western and outdoor shows and movies, fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Hazel M. (Nash) Boles of Albany, Indiana; son, Marylon Boles of Texas; daughter, Donna R. Boles of Farmland, Indiana; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Tina (Cravens) Boles; four brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Memorial donations may be directed to the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), 1209 W Riggin Road, Muncie, Indiana 47303 or any charitable organization of the donor's choice.
