Espy L. Haynes of Muncie, Indiana passed away at the age of 86 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie early Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was born on April 7, 1935 in Co-Operative, Kentucky to the late Clell and Millie (Slaven) Haynes.

Espy married M. B. Morrow in Revalow, Kentucky on September 20, 1958, and they journeyed through life together for over 63 years. Espy proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and Indiana National Guard. He was a supervisor for the United States Postal Service for 21 years.

Espy is survived by his wife, M. B. (Morrow) Haynes of Muncie; three sons, Michael Haynes (Peggy) of Springport, Indiana, Roger Haynes (Susan) of Yorktown, Indiana, and Steve Haynes of Muncie; brother, Estes Gregory (Betty) of Muncie; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Espy was preceded in death by his parents, Clell and Millie (Slaven) Haynes; two brothers; one sister; and one son, Mitchell Haynes.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Mark Reynolds.
