Essie Strong, a beloved mother, grandmother,great-grandmother, and woman of faith, peacefully passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on April 17, 1934, Essie lived a life rooted in love, strength, hard work, and devotion to her family and God.

Essie retired from General Motors after many years of dedicated service and was a faithful member of Midtown Church of Christ.

Essie was preceded in death by her parents, Lorene Noel and Clarence Bohanon; her brother, Clarence Bohanon Jr.; her former husband and father of her children, Alvin Strong; her son, Kenneth Strong; her daughters, Lorayne Cole and Sylvia Strong; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Shalone Strong, TaWanda Strong, Daquavis Strong, and Dyshuan Elliott Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Alvin (Teresa), Darlene, Alvene, and Deidre, along with many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.
