Esther Lee, 94, of Ridgeville, IN died Thursday May 13, 2010 at her residence. She was born on October 17, 1915 in Bloomfield, IN the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Daily) Shaffer. She married Orlo Lee who preceded her in death on January 16, 1979.
She enjoyed knitting, quilts, sewing, and reading. She also enjoyed being active with a homemakers club.
Surviving relatives include one son and one daughter, Robert O. Lee (Margaret D.) of Ridgeville, IN; Kathy Edwards (Sonny) of Dunkirk, IN; four grandchildren, Mark Edwards (Linda) of Albany, IN; Doug Edwards (Holly) of Muncie, IN; Daverlee Holt (Tim) of Windsor, IN; Daniel Wright (Rachel) of Hammond, Louisiana; and four great-grandchildren, Samantha McClain; Tasha McClain; Seth Edwards all of Albany, IN; Dakota Edwards of Muncie, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Leslie Lee, two sisters, Bernice and Hulda.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday May 17, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
