Esther Stephenson, 102, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Willow Bend Nursing Facility following an extended illness.
Esther was born in Muncie on August 12, 1907, the daughter of Frank and Martha (Reynolds) Long, and attended Muncie Schools.
Mrs. Stephenson was a lifetime member of the Eagles Lodge #231 in Muncie. She loved to play bingo, and was an avid doll collector.
Survivors include two sons, Lloyd V. Stephenson Jr., (wife, Judy), Muncie and Jack P. Stephenson, (wife, Linda), Grand Prairie, Texas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-four years, Lloyd V. Stephenson Sr.; a son, Donald Stephenson; four brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Bruce Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Parson Mortuary or one hour prior to time of service on Friday.
