Etta Anderson, 82, of Muncie, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Pine Knot, KY, on June 26, 1927 to the late George Newton and Rachel (Daughtery) Ross.
Etta was a homemaker all of her life. Family was very much important to her. She loved the outdoors as well as children. In addition to working hard, she always had a smile on her face.
Surviving relatives include her 2 children: Tom Ross of Pendleton and Virginia Kay O''Dell (husband, Stacey) of Muncie; 4 grandchildren: Sara Shull, Anna Shull, Lee Ross, and Felicia Ross; great-granddaughter Chloe Holten; a great-grandchild; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Etta was preceded in death by her parents; son Floyd Junior Ross; daughter Goldie Ross; 6 brothers; 3 sisters; and grandchildren: Cassandra Ross and Randall Ross.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to A Better Way, PO Box 734, Muncie, IN 47308.
