Obituary

Everett Michael Mike'' Tuttle, 62, of Muncie, passed away, July 16, 2010 loving what he enjoyed doing the most, fishing at his lake cottage. He was born on May 16, 1948 in Muncie to the late Everett Allen and Mary Marker Tuttle. Mike is a 1966 graduate of Southside High School. On April 7, 1973 he married his love, Deborah Swearingen in Muncie.
Mike was drafted into the Army in August of 1967, receiving a Purple Heart during a combat tour in Vietnam. He completed his tour of duty and received an honorable discharge in August of 1969. Mike worked as a cable splicer for Indiana Bell turned AT&T for 34 years before retiring in 1999. Mike was an avid fisherman who loved the lakes of Northern Indiana. Mike was also very proud to be a father and most-recently a grandfather.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Deborah Tuttle; their loving children: Shaun Tuttle, Kristen Tuttle, and Amber Bilby; sister Linda Hamilton; sister-in-law & brother-in-law Judy and Al Stout; and very cherished granddaughter Lainey Tuttle.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; son Christopher Tuttle; 2 sisters: Sue Adams and Barbara Law; and brother Mark Tuttle.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Odom officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military honors given by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
