Fannie Pauline (Dunavent) Hutson, 94 of Muncie, passed away late Tuesday evening, September 4, 2018 at Elmcroft of Muncie.  She was born November 30, 1923 in Chelsea, IN and was the daughter of the late Allen Stuart Dunavent & Helen Bartlett.

Fannie graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1942.  She went on to marry the love of her life Jack Hutson on August 15, 1945 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  She was the oldest and longest member of the congregation at Holy Trinity where she was a member since birth.   Fannie was very active with the Sunday School program at Holy Trinity, the Women's Missionary Circle and Lutheran Church of Women of America.  In addition to being a devoted wife and mother she also loved to help care for all children.  Fannie owned and operated a state licensed day care and pre-school in her home for 35 years in both Selma and Gaston, Indiana until she retired in 1990.

Fannie is survived by her son James Eugene Hutson (Carolyn) of Muncie; a granddaughter Kristina Ann Hutson of Muncie; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack and daughter Rebecca Jean Hutson; two brothers Frederick and Clyde Dunavent and two sisters Nettie Tilley and Isabel Thomas.

Funeral Services for Fannie will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry O' Neal officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Sunday School with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
