Fielden M. Dalton, 77, of Muncie passed away on Saturday September 6, 2008 at his residence. He was born on March 13, 1931 in Moorhead, KY the son of Clinnie and Christine (Black) Dalton.
He graduated from Royerton High school in 1951. He was in the United States Air force and served in the Korean War. He was employed at Marhofer''s Meat for 26 years. He was a local construction contractor and owned Dalton Construction. He loved to watch wrestling, football and NASCAR. Fielden also loved gardening and building homes through Delaware County and surrounding communities.
Surviving relatives include two sons; James Dalton wife: Debbie of Anderson, IN, Robert Dalton of Muncie; one brother Ray Dalton of Eaton, IN; two sisters, Estelle Blankenbeker husband: Jerry of Cincinnati, OH and Betty Ewing of Indianapolis, IN; 4 grandchildren; Bryce Dalton, Marcie Dalton, Savannah Dalton and Taylor Dalton; and a very special friend Judy Geiger of Albany, IN.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Dalton, Paul Dalton and Cooper Dalton as well as both of his parents.
Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday September 11, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. State Road 3 in Muncie. Visitation will be on Wednesday September 10, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Rusty Clements will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie.
