Florence Sylvia Adkins, age 91, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 4, 2024. She was born in Muncie, Indiana  to parents' Fred and Amma Hunnel on April 10, 1932.

Florence was a spirited person at heart and a loving mother to all. Florence loved everyone and treated each like her own. She also loved to color and dance, most particularly dancing to her 50's romance.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Sue (Larry) Kendall of Fountain City; sons, Glen Adkins and Donald "Butch" Adkins of Muncie, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Adkins; her parents; several brothers and sisters; and one son, Ronald Adkins.
Florence's visitation will be held at Garden View Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M on January 11th, 2024 ., with a funeral service following at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Terry DeLong officiating.

A graveside service will take place after the service at Gardens of Memory in Muncie, Indiana.
