Florence Cooper, 90, a patient of the Renaissance Rehabilitation Center for the past eighteen months, passed November 6, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Florence was a resident of Muncie for the past fifty-two years coming from Indianola, Mississippi. Mrs. Cooper worked as a domestic caregiver.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of the New Hope Baptist church where she served on the Mothers Board and Usher Board.
She leaves to cherish her memory a brother, Clarence Hall Glenall, Miss., Francis Jones, Memphis, Tenn., Earscine Reed, Muncie, Laura Nettles, Bellwood, Ill., Rosie McDaniel, Oceanside Ca. and Leola Hall, Greenville, Miss.; special friends, Cora Vance, and Bonnie Corthen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LC Cooper; brother, Oscar Hall; and nephew, Clarence Hall Jr.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at New Hope Baptist Church with viewing 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to service at the church with interment following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN.
