Florence Wilburn, age73, of Muncie, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was born April 13, 1938 in LaFollette, TN to Sim and Mossie (Davis) Marcum. She married the love of her life, Russell Wilburn, on October 13, 1956 and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2006.
Florence was a member of Avondale Sympathy Club and was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family, both near and far because her family was always the greatest priority and focus in her life. She will be sorely missed by her daughter, Kathy Lancaster, (husband Jim) of Muncie; sons, Bryan Wilburn (wife Missie) of Selma, IN, Dan Wilburn (wife Becky) of Valparaiso, IN; grandchildren, Heather and Amber Lancaster, Devin, Rachel, and Jackson Wilburn; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, James and John Marcum, and sister Bess Summers-Howard.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303 with Pastor Danny Douglas officiating and burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday August 14, 2011 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be to Ball Memorial Hospice.
