Frederick Brown Bell, 84, of Muncie, IN went to be with the Lord on Friday January 4, 2008 at Willowbend Living Center in Muncie, IN. He will be missed by all his family and friends. He was born on August 18, 1923 in McMinnville, TN the son of Fred and Adell (Curtis) Bell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII. He retired from Delco Battery in Muncie after 30 years of service. He married Edna M. Bell who preceded him in death.
He was a member of the VFW post#5064 and American Legion #0173 both in Tennessee. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Farmland and Muncie. He was a life time member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the N.M.J. Valley of Indianapolis, the Moose Lodge #33, Eagles #231, the Delco Sympathy Club, and the Bowling Association.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Brenda M. Pritchard (husband: Larry) of Muncie, IN; one sister, Wilma Dean Turner (husband: Charles) of TN; two brothers, James L. Bell (wife: Elva Dean) of Rock Island, TN; J.C. Bell of McMinnville, TN; two grandchildren, Dayden Marie Monroe (husband: Ronnie) of Muncie, IN; Larry "Rick" Pritchard of Florida; two great-grandchildren, Craig Monroe and Katie Monroe both of Muncie, IN. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three sisters, two brothers, one infant son, and one infant grandson.
Services will be 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 8, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Rev. Kirby Garrett will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Services will also be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday January 10, 2008 at McMinnville Funeral Home 117 Underwood Road McMinnville, TN 37110. Burial will follow at the Liberty Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation at McMinnville Funeral Home will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
