Fredie Caldwell, 67, of Muncie, IN went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 14, 2007 unexpectedly at his residence in Muncie. He was born on May 1, 1941 in Salyersville, KY the son of Cobrin and Vicie Jordon. On July 29, 1961 in Xenia, OH he married Marcielle (Cummings) Caldwell who survives.
He was a machine repairman at Brodericks and retired after 27 years of service in 1992. He was a member of the Freedom Point Apostolic Church of Muncie (formerly known as United Pentecostal Church). He was baptized in Jesus name and loved to worship the Lord. He enjoyed watching television and rummaging.
Surviving relatives include his wife Marcielle Caldwell of Muncie; one son and two daughters, Charlotte Monroe (husband: Rick) of Muncie; Connie Caldwell (companion: Phil Cooper) of Muncie; James Caldwell (wife: Mary) of Muncie; one step-son, Bobby Davis (wife: Philomena) of Bowersville, OH; one nephew, Larry Caldwell and his son Jacob of Muncie; four grandchildren, Nicole Monroe, Robert Caldwell, Melissa Monroe, Brooke Caldwell all of Muncie; two step grandchildren, Robbie and Maggie Davis both of Bowersville, OH; two great-grandchildren, Blake Caldwell and Adriana Wheeler both of Muncie; one sister, Hazel Gillium of Sandyhook, KY; and several additional nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 17, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Matthew Kidd, Pastor Mike Pedue and Rev. Rick Monroe will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
