Gail (Wilson) Parsons, 81, passed away, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Morrison Woods in Muncie.
Gail was born August 13, 1929 in Muncie, the daughter of Herbert and Myrtus (Prig) Wilson and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1947. After attending Ball State University, she worked as a secretary for numerous local attorneys and at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Gail was a forty year member of the Royerton Homemakers club, a volunteer for the Minnetrista Cultural Center and an eighteen year volunteer for Ball Memorial Hospital. She also served on the YWCA board of directors and the American Heart Association board.
Gail is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, Carl Parsons, Muncie; a sister in law, Mildred Nelson, Union City; many nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Sharon Smith, Lisa Morgan, Carolyn Fuller, and Virginia Cross.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Gary Ransom Cox officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2010 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, or one hour prior to service time on Tuesday.
