Garrett Marie Jefferson Montague, 56, of Muncie, departed this life on Sunday, May 30, 2010.
She was born April 29, 1954, in Fort Wayne, IN.
Surviving are her sons, William (Rikki) Balfour, Jr. and Joshua Balfour; daughters, Lashea (Randall) Balfour and Consuela Balfour; companion, Mike Williams; special sons, Andrick Stith and Brian Bonner all of Muncie; brothers, Walter (Phyllis) Allen of Indianapolis, Tony (Linda) Jefferson of Muncie, Charles (Linda) Jefferson of Kentucky and Tracy (Becky) Jefferson of Connersville, IN; sisters, Rena Jones, Maneatta Jefferson both of Muncie, Kharil (William) Goodall of Indianapolis and Janice (Andrew) Lewis of Kansas; special friends, Stella Graves, Darlene Graham, William Balfour, Sr. and Ingrid Crawford all of Muncie; eighteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Garrett was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Jefferson; brother, David Jefferson and grandmother, Margurette Lake.
Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at True Vine Holiness Tabernacle, with private visitation scheduled. Burial in Gardens Of Memory Cemetery.
