Gary Burgess, 75, entered his heavenly home on July 24, 2024. He was born on September 22, 1948 and was the son of George P. and Ruby Burgess in Muncie, Indiana. Gary graduated from Southside High School in 1966. He then went on to work for Delaware County. Until he retired, after 40 years of service. He held many titles and positions while there.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sue Zimmerman and Janet Fibigar. He is survived by his daughters, Lindsay Showalter and Hannah Adams; 8 grandchildren and also 3 great-grandchildren, all of which he was incredibly proud of. Also surviving him are special friends, John and Judy Rust.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Garden View Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home. Additional calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held after the service at Gardens of Memory-Muncie.
