Gary D. Chalfant's Obituary
Gary D. Chalfant, 67, passed away Sunday October 18, 2009 at the Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parker City.
He was born October 23, 1941 in Muncie, the son of Olan J. Chalfant and Chessie A. (Stanley) Chalfant. Gary attended Cowan High School.
He had worked for the Wololan Lumber Company for twenty years.
Gary enjoyed playing the organ, painting pictures, and doing carpentry work. Mr. Chalfant was a member of the National Guard for eight years.
Survivors include three sisters, Jeanie Chalfant of Parker City, Rose Chalfant of Parker City and Sue Ripberger of Muncie; four aunts; one uncle; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenneth Chalfant.
Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday October 21, 2009 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie.
Friends may call from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
