C. "Gaylord" Kramer, 77, of Hartford City, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, after a short illness with his family around him.
He was born August 21, 1948, to Lloyd C. and Janice E. Kramer. He married Barbara Catron on January 29, 1972, in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Gaylord graduated from Center High School in Perry Township, Delaware County, in 1966. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1969-1973. After that he attended Emmaus Bible College, Oak Park, Illinois, and then received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Grace College, Winona Lake. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Ball State University until he retired in 2003.
Gaylord was the prison minister coordinator for the Emmaus Bible College of Indiana prison correspondence course ministry. He taught Bible studies in local prisons. Gaylord loved teaching and preaching God's Word, and he did so in many Assemblies over the years. He loved being a part of the Plymouth Brethren Assemblies.
Gaylord is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Kramer; three children, Michael Kramer, Hartford City; Jenny (Mike) Fluckiger, Portland; and Nathan (Karen) Kramer, Hartford City; two grandsons, Andrew Fluckiger and David Kramer; two brothers, Scott (Sherri) Kramer, Muncie, and Kent (Teresa) Kramer, Selma; and many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by both parents.
The family will receive visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025, and prior to the funeral beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, both at Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Nathan Kramer and Ryan Kramer will officiate. A short graveside service will follow the funeral at Gardens of Memory, Muncie, where Gaylord will be laid to rest.
