George D. Anderson, age 83, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.  He was born on June 16, 1939 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico to parents George Anderson and Lizzie Anderson (Gleaton).

George was in the Navy and worked as a career lineman.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, supervising and spending time with his family.  He was a member at Gaston Main Street Church.

George is survived by his daughter Cara Higginbotham (husband Scott), North Carolina and a sister Wanda Loud Mechnig (husband Bill), Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held at Garden View Funeral Home on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 1:00PM - 3:00PM with a funeral to follow at 3:00PM, also at Garden View Funeral Home.  Burial will follow after the funeral at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
