George Marshall Davidson 85, of Selma, IN. passed away Sunday June 22, 2008 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1923 in Wayne County, KY. the son of Marion Davidson and Lydia (Lee) Davidson. On March 14, 1953 he married Ruby (Case) Davidson who precedes him in death.
He retired from Ball State University where he was an assistant in the food services. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Surviving relatives include; one son, Jerry Davidson (wife Beverly) of Fort Wayne, IN. and one step- son Ronald Briner (wife Rebecca) of Muncie, IN. Two step-daughters, Marjorie Gail Hahn (husband John) of FL. and Linda L. Alto of Warsaw, IN. One sister, Ruth Guffy of KY. Nine grandchildren and a companion Marie Hayden of Muncie, IN.
Preceded in death by parents, a wife three sister Eula Denny, Ethel Ragan and Ruby Bowers. Two brothers Ernest and Dallas Davidson.
Services will be Friday June 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, Indiana, 47303. Pastor Bob Tharp will officiate. Burial will be in the Gardens of memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be Thursday June 26, 2008 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
