George "Ron" Ronald Deeds, 90, of Lexington, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on February 26, 2026, at Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina. He was born in Parker City, Indiana on September 30, 1935, to the late Georgia (Laughlin) Deeds and Fred Deeds. He married Ina K. (Gregory) Deeds on February 25, 1955, and recently celebrated 71 years of marital happiness.

Ron graduated in 1953 from Muncie Central High School and attended Ball State University and Indiana Business College. Ron worked for 34 years as an Accounting Supervisor for the Chrysler Corporation and retired in 1990. Prior to working at Chrysler, Ron was employed in the office at Owens Illinois Glass.

Ron was a member of the Delaware Lodge No. 46, Free and Accepted Masons since September 1959. He was also a Lions Club International Member and actively participated in Lions Kidsight and Vision Screening programs. He was on the Muncie Planning Commission and Board of Appeals for 13 years. He was a Boy Scouts Leader. He was a member of numerous bowling leagues and traveled to other states for bowling competitions. He was very active as a volunteer and chaperone with his children's and grandson's school sports, band, color ,guard, and academic activities and could always be seen at practices, rehearsals, performances, and competitions. He was a Board Member and Choir participant for 30 years at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Muncie, IN. He was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church in Lexington, SC.

He is survived by his wife, Ina K. Deeds of Lexington, SC; two sons, Bruce Deeds (wife Kacee) and Rick Deeds, both of Muncie, IN; daughter, Robin Todd (husband Mike) of Lexington, SC;  and grandson, Griffin Todd of Los Angeles, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Russell, Willard, and John Deeds; sister, Susan Hernly; and daughter-in law, Virginia "Ginny" Deeds.

Family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 State Rd 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303.

A Masonic service will follow visitation at 12:30 pm with a funeral service to celebrate Ron's life beginning at 1:00 pm, with The Rev. James T. Said officiating.

Graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N State Rd 3, Muncie, IN 47303.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lions Club International Fund for vision screening, eye banks, and eyeglass recycling in Ron's memory.
