George Allen Wilson, 65, of Port Charlotte, Florida and formerly of Hartford City, Ind.
went home to be with the Lord on Thursday November 1st, 2012. He was born on April 9th, 1947 in Hartford City to Robert and Maxine (Michael) Wilson. George was a 1965 graduate of Montpelier High School and in 1966 married his high school sweetheart Judy (Thurman) Wilson. He worked as manager of Ken''s Bandag for 25 years before moving to Florida in 1996. While in Florida George owned several successful businesses and was actively involved in multiple foundations with Lemon Sunrise Rotary. George lovingly dedicated his giving heart to his family and his grandchildren enjoying them thoroughly. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 46 years Judy Wilson of Port Charlotte, Florida; son Scott (Stacy) Wilson of Hartford City, Indiana.; daughter Kimberly (Sean) Jenkinson of Port Charlotte, Florida; grandchildren Alexis, Alex, and Ashton Wilson and Megan and Brittany Jenkinson; mother Maxine Slentz of Hartford City, Indiana; sister Susan (Mike) Willmann of Hartford City, Indiana; brothers Tony (Debbie) Wilson of Fowlerville, Michigan, Rex (Candee) Wilson of Vienna, Virginia and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his father Robert Wilson. Friends may call on Tuesday November 6, 2012 from 3-5 and 6-8 pm at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. S.R.3 Muncie, Ind.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Showalter officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
