Georgia B. Beaty, 88, of San Antonio TX, and formerly of Muncie, died Sunday afternoon, March 15th, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice in San Antonio. She was born September 2nd, 1926 in Fentress County, TN, and was the daughter of the late Lee & Ellen Stephens.
Georgia retired in 1978 from Corrugated Container after 35 years of service. She loved to play the lottery and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Georgia married Walter G. Beaty on October 6th, 1945.
Georgia is survived by her three children, Ronnie Beaty of San Antonio, TX, Donnie Beaty of Melbourne , FL, and Jeri Francis (Bill) of Kokomo; four grandchildren, Daniel and David Beaty of San Antonio, TX, Sally McHugh (Tim) of Fishers, IN, and Billy Francis of Kokomo; a brother Lige Stephens (Darlene) of Muncie; three sisters, Billie Conner (Virgil) of Muncie, Earlene Helton (Gary) of Muncie, and Faye Young of Nashville, TN; a special niece Grace Gregory (George) of Lancaster, OH. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter G. Beaty in 2002; four brothers Earl, Woodrow, Lloyd, and Buck; three sisters Frances, June, and Hattie.
Funeral Services for Georgia will be held Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Matherly officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Literacy Coalition with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
