Gerald Blaine Baker Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025,
surrounded by his loving family. Born in Muncie, Indiana, Gerald lived a life
defined by hard work, integrity, and deep devotion to those he loved.

Gerald built an extraordinary career in manufacturing and leadership that
spanned decades. He began at Chevrolet, where he served as a General
Foreman, and went on to hold key leadership positions at Borg Warner in
both Muncie, Indiana and Sterling Heights, Michigan as Plant Manager. His
career continued to flourish as President of A.O. Smith North America
and President of Michigan Spring & Stamping, before concluding his
professional journey as CEO Precision Products Group.

Even in retirement, Gerald remained active and entrepreneurial, co-owning
JR's For Hair and More Salon & Spa where he enjoyed staying connected
to his family and community.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Beckie Baker, and their
children Terra (Roger) Powers, Brennen (Angela) Baker, and Catherine
(Scott) Abbate, who will forever cherish his wisdom, humor, and steadfast
support. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and fourteen great
grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.

Those who knew Gerald remember him as a man of strength, deep
compassion and unwavering dedication. He led by example – in his career,
his community, and most of all, in his family. His legacy of leadership and
love will continue to guide those he leaves behind.

A celebration of Gerald's life will be held at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N.
State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana, 47303. Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Visitation hours from 9am to 11am with funeral proceedings and burial to
follow. The family wishes to invite you to lunch directly after located at the
Delaware Country Club, located at 510 S. Country Club Rd, Muncie, IN 47302.
