Gerald D. Dobbs (J.D.), 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior, November 13, 2022. He was born in Stearns, KY on March 1, 1932, the son of the late Martha and Cloyd Dobbs. He married the love of his life Jo Ellen (Copeland) Dobbs.

He was a  proud Korean Veteran and started his service at the young age of seventeen. He was a Kentucky Colonel awarded to him by the Governor.

He retired from General Motors in 1983 where he worked in the Forge Department. He was the owner of Dobbs Auto Sales. He sold cars for 66 years. His love for cars started with the purchase of his first car a 1947 Dodge 5 passenger coupe.

He is survived by his daughters: April (Gavin) Upchurch, Julie (Larry) Wills, Tonya (Ethan) Garrett, Tammie (Phil) Coon. Four grandchildren Jarod (Krista) Upchurch, Brad Wills, Brian Wills and Jacob Coon. Nine great grandchildren, brother: Hilbert (Becky) Dobbs, sister: Shirley (Bob) Winchester, sister-in-law Violet Dobbs and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Jo Ellen and his daughter: Jeri, His mother and father, sisters: Aldena, Peggy and sister-in-law Joyce, brother: Leo and brother-in-law Denton.

At the request of our father, there will be no visitation or service.
