Geraldine "Jerri" Harter, 85, passed away Friday evening, February 13, 2015 at her home in Noblesville, Indiana.
Geraldine was born January 12, 1930 in Wells County, Indiana to the late Lawrence and Goldie Wagner. She graduated from Muncie Central High School and worked as a bookkeeper. Geraldine enjoyed reading and crocheting. She also enjoyed Bingo, computer games, and visits to the casino. Geraldine''s family was most important to her. She cherished the time spent with them.
She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Karen Piner (husband Phil) of Muncie and Kathy Calamusa (husband Joe) of Noblesville; ten grandchildren, Robert Harter (wife Deandra) of Lafayette, LA, April Neal (husband Brad) of Redkey, Pam Wilson (fianc Tim) of Muncie, Mandy Shadoan (husband Kendrick) of Muncie, Sam Moore of Wichita, KS, Angel Monroe (husband Terry) of Muncie, Adrianne Piner of Muncie, Christy Harter of Wichita, KS, Lorie Onofry (husband Jerome) of Sandusky, OH, and Jordan Calamusa of Noblesville; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald S. Harter, in 1999; a son, Billy J. Harter; a daughter, Lynda D. Newhouse; and a sister, Beverly Thomas.
A funeral service to celebrate Geraldine''s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3 in Muncie. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 and from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Garden View Funeral Home.
