Gladys Williams, 87, formally of Hartford City, died at 10:31 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Hartford City, where she had resided for the past 3 years.
She was born on February 22, 1922 in Lebanon, Missouri to the late, Joseph Reid and the late, Martha Ellen Elizabeth (Randolph) Reid.
Gladys married Rev. Marion L. Williams on May 7, 1941 in Lebanon, Missouri. He precedes her in death on December 22, 2000.
She was a homemaker. She and her husband, Rev. Marion Williams had pastured together at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Hartford City for 30 years. She was a Charter Member of Lesea Ministries with David Summerall of South Bend, Indiana.
Gladys was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her life.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Beverly J. (husband, Bryan Thomas) Beeman Sr. of Hartford City; Rebecca A. "Becky" (husband, Shawn P.) Copeland of Hartford City; grandchildren, Lachelle (husband, Tyler) Smith, Jason S. (wife, Amy) Doty, Justin D. Heavenridge, Mariah D. Copeland, Bryan Thomas Beeman Jr.; great-grandchildren, Eliana M. Doty, Cayla J. Doty, Zachiary M. Doty, Amanda N. Smith, Jared T. Smith, Katie E. Smith; sisters, Darlene Burnham of Lebanon, Missouri; Bonnie Sutton of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Sylvia May Mansfield and Agnes Phillips, brothers, Harold Reid and Curtis Reid.
Funeral service for Gladys will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home, with Rev. Dewey Zent officiating.
Interment will be private for the family at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN, on Thursday, January 28, 2010.
Visitation for Gladys will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
