Twibell
October 7, 1927 – January 3, 2025
Glen A. Twibell, 97, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Morrison Woods Health Campus surround by his children. He was born in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Henry and Opal Twibell.
Glen lived a full life filled with family, faith, and service. He had a love for walking, reading western books, solving crossword puzzles, and tending to his yard. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and took pride in his hobbies and interests.
On April 9, 1949, Glen married the love of his life, Mary Wilson, in Hartford City, Indiana. Glen served in the United States Army and dedicated much of his time to giving back to the community. He was actively involved in the Muncie Mission, PTA, Little League Baseball, and Boy Scouts of America.
Glen is survived by his sons, Barry (Linda) Twibell and Scott (Jan) Twibell; daughters, Teresa Dittus and Cindy (Kip) Gross; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Earl Twibell. He is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Twibell grandsons Christopher Twibell, and Andrew Twibell, his brothers, Lewis, Don, Max, and James; and his sisters, Josephine Lloyd and Joanne Dick.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Morrison Woods for their exceptional care and to Trina and Heart to Heart Hospice for their support and kindness during Glen's final days. Your compassion will always be remembered.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Glen's memory to the Muncie Heart to Heart Hospice.
