Glenn L. Daugherty of Muncie, Indiana passed away at the age of 95 on Friday, March 19, 2021. He was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1925 to the late James B. and Margaret (Evans) Daugherty.
Glenn enlisted in the United States Navy after high school, serving from May 5, 1943 to May 4, 1946. He married Shirley A. Harris on January 11, 1947. Glenn worked for Westinghouse in Sharon, Pennsylvania and then in Muncie, Indiana. He retired as Senior Engineer from Westinghouse in Muncie, Indiana. He was a member of the Masonic Jerusalem Lodge #19 of Hartford, Ohio, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley Consistory of Fort Wayne, Indiana, the Shrine Murat Temple A.A.O.N.M.S of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Shirley A. (Harris) Daugherty; sons, Glenn Daugherty, Jr. (Dian) of Muncie, Indiana, Don Daugherty (Rhonda) of Saugatuck, Michigan, and Mark Daugherty (Sarah) of Muncie, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Chris Daugherty (Monica), Abby Butler (Mike), Joel Daugherty, Kristen Beal (Lance), Kyle Daugherty, Ryan Anderson, Katharyn Daugherty (Dr. Sheldon), and Bradley Daugherty; ten great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, James B. and Margaret (Evans) Daugherty and brother, James C. Daugherty.
Private visitation will be held in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with private funeral services immediately following, also in the Funeral Home. Services will be held with Military Honors. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations in Glenn's name to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
COVID-19 Limitations: Effective Monday, February 8, 2021, Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery are limited to a maximum of 50 people wearing masks inside or outside.
