Goldie L. (Bonnie) Rutherford, 93
Goldie (Bonnie) Rutherford passed away on May 10th, 2013.
She was born in Oregonia, Ohio on April 9th, 1920. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Edna and Walter Elliott.
Bonnie was a very proud graduate of the 1938 Class of Milford High School in Milford, Ohio.
She married and moved to Muncie, Indiana, in the early 60's. Bonnie was a homemaker and cared for her five children. She enjoyed the ten years she worked as a salesperson at Ball Stores.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed writing letters and cards for as long as she was able. She took many trips with her family and friends, but the most special one was to Germany with her sister-in-law, Hazel Pottorf.

Bonnie was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW.

She is survived by her 5 children, Gary Rutherford (wife, Ruth) of McConnelsville, Ohio, Sandy Brown (husband, Doug) of Muncie, IN, Betty Johnson (husband, Alan) of Muncie, IN, Donald Rutherford of Franklin, TN, and Machelle Ross of Muncie, IN; grandchildren, Gary Rutherford (wife, Angie) of Ohio, Carla Rutherford of Ohio, Brooke Brown of Portland, OR, Ashley Gillespie (husband, Brennan) of Muncie, IN, Emily Sharpe (husband, Stephen) of Canton, NC, Evan Johnson of Muncie, IN, Holly Rutherford of Ohio, and Ryne Ross of Muncie, IN; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Byers of Ohio and Kristi Kenyon of Ohio; 11 great-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, May 13th, at Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted by Bonnie's nephew, Gary Curless. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
