Gordin R. Swegman, 72, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, September 19, 2022 at Ball Hospital/IU Health. He was born in Muncie, IN. on July 31, 1950 to Gordin O and Wanda L Swegman. Gordin graduated from Southside High School in 1968. Gordin was a tool and die maker for 52 years with Luick Quality Gage and Haylex Manufacturing before retiring in December 2020. He loved watching NASCAR and Indy Car races and he also loved taking cruises. Gordin had also played drums in several area bands over the years.

Gordin is survived by his mother, Wanda L Swegman, his loving wife of 33 years Kathy Swegman, his daughter's, Jackie S. Meinders (husband Aaron) of Kentucky, Traci A. Swegman of Tennessee, Kim Wormer of Daleville, Kristi Alspaugh (husband Bryan) of Shirley, In., 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nephews and nieces

Gordin was preceded in death by his father Gordin O. Swegman, brother Gregory A. Swegman and his mother and father-in-laws Louis and Wanda May.

Services will be at Garden View Funeral Home at 10501 N SR 3, Muncie, In 47303. Calling will be Monday September 26, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 and the service will be at 1:00 P.M with Rusty Clements Officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
