MUNCIE - Grace "Nanny" Case, 83, passed away Monday morning, October 5, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born July 14, 1927 in Indianapolis the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Richards) Glasson and attended Muncie Central High School.
Mrs. Case was employed at Ball Brothers then at Montgomery Ward for over twenty years.
Nanny enjoyed the Lifetime Movie Network and doing word searches.
Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Wright (husband, David), Muncie; three grandchildren, David Wright II (wife, Shawn), Muncie, Paula Morrison (fianc, Stan Willis), Muncie, and Brandy Cloyd, Anderson; eight great-grandchildren, Chris, Deric, and Casey Batt, David Wright III, Dominique, Daiton, and Donaven Hood, and NaLynn Jones; two great-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Eliana; two sisters, Gloria Robinson (husband, Graham), Farmland and Betty Gunkle, Anderson; a brother, Darrell Glasson (wife, Anna), Selma; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace "Red" Case; a daughter, Lynda Cloyd; a granddaughter, Tammy Batt; three brothers, Buddy, Bobby, and Sonny Glasson; and three sisters, Audrey Smith, Joyce Marley, and Inez Verrier.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010 in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 11:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
