Grace Madonna Miller, 100, died on Thursday, November 4, 2021. She was born on August 23, 1921 in Mooreland, Indiana to Earl and Willie Burnett.
Grace married Roy E. Miller on November 23, 1946. They were married 64 years. She was a seamstress in a garment factory making Levis during World War II. Later she worked for a company making kites. She was proficient in all kinds of needlework.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on August 30, 2011; her brother, John Burnett; her sister, Ruth Garrett; her brothers-in-law, Ralph Garrett and Ray Colechia; and a daughter-in-law, Kylene Miller.
Survivors include two sons, Ed Miller and wife, Wyla and Ron Miller; five granddaughters: Chana Van Houten and husband, Wynn, Jill Klepzig and husband, Dale, Kassi Hartman and husband, Darren, Shanda Smith and husband, Marcus, and Lesha Coker and husband, Brad. She is also survived by nine great grandsons: Drake Klepzig, Jace Klepzig, Wyatt Van Houten, Caden Smith, Colby Smith, Creed Smith, Trace Coker, Trevin Coker, and August Hartman; four great granddaughters: Jolie Van Houten, Skye Klepzig, Tay Coker, and Brynn Hartman; and a sister-in-law, Mary Colechia.
She spent all her life in Indiana except for the last 9 years when she moved to be closer to her family. Her faith, Family, and Friends were the highest priorities in her life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 AM, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Loren Quick and Kenion Coleman. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Encompass Health Hospice, 2502 Lakeview Drive, Amarillo, Texas 79109 or to Tulia Senior Citizens, 619 SE 2nd Street, Tulia, Texas 79088. Arrangements have also been entrusted to Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia, Texas. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
